A fast, low-risk permitting path to restore one of LA’s most famous homes without a lengthy plan check.

The Chemosphere House is certainly at the top of a ‘most famous homes’ list and not a house you want to open up to an inspector’s scrutiny. We pulled an old builder’s trick and opted for a repair-and-replace <10% rot-damage express permit. This allowed the team to move quickly on their restoration work while being covered under a permit application — and not spending 4 months in plan check.
